Matariki No'ble 2010 Hawke's Bay - 4.5 Stars
A stylish blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot, the complex bouquet shows dark berry, game, cedar and dried herb characters, leading to a beautifully ripe and weighty palate that offers plenty of appealing flavours. It is seductively savoury too. Fine tannins and long on the finish. At its best: now to 2018. 90/100

Matariki 2010 noble Red (CS CF Mer) Hawke’s Bay - 4 Stars
This wine ticks all the boxes for the blend with roasted bell-pepper & tobacco laced black fruits of the Cabernets with the softening graces of Merlot’s plum; collectively a harmonious and distinctive bouquet. On the palate – lots of ripe red and black fruit flavours with firm velvet tannins and acidity, medium+ weight, lots of structure and texture with a moderate+ finish.
