Aspire 2004 Rosé

Wine Note

These grapes were hand picked from our Gimblett Road vineyard.  This is a fresh wine, with a vibrant rose colour, weaved with gorgeous pink tints.  A dry style with luscious fruit and crisp acidity giving freshness and a long lingering finish. Harvest

The grapes for the Rosé were hand picked from our Gimblett Gravels vineyard in Hawkes Bay at optimum ripeness and flavour.

Vinification

Juice was drained from the Merlot ferment to give structure, colour and light tannins. The rosé was then fermented at cool temperatures with a selected yeast to retain the fruit and freshness of the wine. Residual sugar has been kept in the wine to add some softness and length to the palate. The wine was bottled as early as possible so it can be enjoyed while fresh and vibrant.

Bottling

The rosé was bottled on the 8th of October 2004
