Barrel Percentage
The oak used was predominantly French Chateaux barriques. A small portion of the blend was agen in American oak.
Bottling
The wine was bottled on the 13th and 14th February 2002.
Sensory
Colour: Inky, almost black in colour with deep purple hue. Aroma: Concentrated sweet berry fruit with complex spice and violet nuances that enahnce the cedar oak. Palate: Full bodied wine, displaying ripe berry flavours, tight grained oak and very good acid balance. Silky soft tannins lead to a long lingering finish.
Cellaring
5 - 7 years.
