Wine Note Golden straw with brilliant clarity. Fruit 100% Riesling from our Gimblett Road Vineyard, Hawke’s Bay. Alcohol Content Alc 11.5% v/v Vinification The grapes were gently destemmed and crushed and soaked on skins for a few hours. The grapes were then pressed slowly and over a number of hours to extract the sweetest juice from the grapes. The juice was partially settled and then racked to a fermentation tank. The juice was inoculated with a selected yeast and fermentation was conducted at cool temperatures to retain flavour and control the ferment. Fermentation was arrested at about 160g/l residual sugar. Prior to bottling the wine was fined, stabilized and filtered. Cellaring Enjoy slightly chilled now through until 2010 |
