A complex bouquet of ripe cherries, and earthy notes. A rich well balanced Pinot Noir with lovely sweet fruit intermingled with savoury and herbal characters. Subtle well-handled French oak adds some cedar notes. The tannins are silky smooth and give length to the palate. The wine completed malolactic fermentation in barrel and was then racked off lees and aged in barrique for 11 months. Ideal with roast chicken and rosemary potatoes. |

This is our second vintage of this classic Italian variety. Hand harvested at optimum ripeness from selected parcels of grapes from our Gimblett Road vineyard. The wine was matured in French oak barriques for 21 months. Aromas of dried fruit and red cherries combine with complex characters of spice, plum and hints of orange peel to give a lovely soft rich mouth feel. A perfect accompaniment to traditional Italian cuisine featuring tomato or mushroom based sauces, casseroles or slow cooked Mediterranean flavours.

A full bodied wine with a sweet ripe citrus fruit palate, balanced acidity and a lingering complex finish. The bouquet displays intense delicate cedar and biscuity components from aging on lees in French barriques. The wine was matured in 88% new and 12% 1 year old French oak for 11 months with weekly lees stirring. The palate has a sumptuous youthful appeal with natural acidity giving balance to the ripe fruit intensity. The oak adds subtle spice, almond and vanilla hints with malolactic and wild fermentation giving complexity and an elegant texture.
This wine is perfect to serve with grilled salmon kebabs.
